Activities to go with the Dinotopia movie
The kids watched Dinotopia the movie as part of their creative arts lessons and I made the following worksheets to go with the movie.

Many people have an aversion to their kids watching movies but in our house a movie can teach many things. The fact that my kids came to me after watching dinotopia and said that the creators of the movie made a mistake proves to me that movies can have a place in the education of kids. My kids were observant enough to question whether the concepts of a utopia like dinotopia could be possible, and on further study into the matter found that in the movie they had Brachiosaurus right there alongside the other dinosaurs. They found it interesting that the creators of the movie could make such a large (in their minds) mistake as to place a dinosaur from the Jurassic period in a movie where the majority of the other dinosaurs were from the cretaceous period. proof that adults sometimes are less observant than children, because I never even thought to look for that sort of discrepancy.
